Madness Opera – Completion Course Work for my postgraduate in games development (2020)
The completion course work of my postgraduate was a continuation of the project developed during my college, however, in a group this time. The project consisted of organizing the information contained in a Game Desing Document (GDD – document that organizes the game information during its development) and add them to the already existing artifacts in the software development industry (UML – Unified Modeling Language).
To do so, it was developed a game phase of a platform game in which a blacksmith and a vampire interact with each other to solve puzzles, combine items, and defeat enemies. The following features were implemented: character exchange, inventory, item combination, a simple battle system, and puzzles (as a game mechanic, the vampire turns into a bat under the sunlight).
Used technologies: Unity (C#), Blender, and GIMP
Feed the Anthill 2 (2019)
This game is a rework of the first with sprites improvement and new scene interactions. The objective is the same, the ant cannot drop the food thrown through the window to the floor. Some mini-bosses try to interact with the player. As the first game, Feed the Anthill 2 is infinite as well, the game ends when the ant dies or some food touches the floor.
Technologies used: Unity (C#) and InkScape
GladArena – Completion Course Work of my college – Analysis and Systems Development (2018)
The project consisted of organizing the information contained in a Game Design Document (GDD – document that organizes the game information during its development) and add them to the already existing artifacts in the software development industry (UML – Unified Modeling Language).
As a demonstration, it was developed the game GladArena in which the players defined their strategy of what actions their gladiator would do during their battle in a flowchart (other players’ data were recovered in an SQL database to compete in the arena). In the end, the stats containing the total received and applied damage would be updated and provided to the players.
Technologies used: Unity (C#), MySQL, GIMP, and InkScape
